Punjab Olympic Association
VOLLEYBALL-
The Punjab Volleyball Association is the governing body for volleyball in the Punjab province of Pakistan, working under the umbrella of the Pakistan Volleyball Federation to promote the sport. It organizes local trials and selections for provincial teams, such as the recent U16 and U20 trials held in Lahore, and works with the government and other officials to develop volleyball at the grassroots level.

Role and Activities
- Talent identification:
The association conducts trials to select top players for provincial teams, ensuring talent is identified from across the province.
- Youth development:
It is involved in organizing events and training camps to nurture young volleyball talent, as noted by the Youth Affairs and Sports Department, Punjab.
- Provincial representation:
The association selects and prepares players for the Punjab provincial team to compete in national-level tournaments.
- Collaboration:
It works closely with the Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) and other sports bodies to boost volleyball’s growth in the province.
- Recent trials:
In December 2024, the association held trials for U16 and U20 players, with supervision from top officials from the Pakistan Volleyball Federation.
- Government support:
The Punjab government has provided funding and support for volleyball development through initiatives led by the Youth Affairs and Sports Department, Punjab.
- Leadership:
While specific leadership can change, the association functions under the larger Pakistan Volleyball Federation, which is based in Lahore.
- The Punjab Volleyball Association operates as a provincial affiliate of the Pakistan Volleyball Federation, which is the national governing body responsible for volleyball in the entire country.
- The association’s activities are part of the national federation’s broader goal of developing volleyball talent and promoting the sport across Pakistan.
