he Punjab Rugby Association (PRA) is the provincial arm of the Pakistan Rugby Union (PRU), the governing body of rugby in Pakistan. Established in 2008, PRA has been a driving force in promoting and developing rugby across Punjab.

Activities and Initiatives
Aspect Description Establishment The PRA was established in 2008. Affiliation The PRA is affiliated with the Pakistan Rugby Union (PRU), Sports Board Punjab (SBP), and the Punjab Olympic Association (POA). Geographic Reach The PRA operates in all 9 divisions of Punjab, with 20 affiliated districts. Mission The PRA is dedicated to spreading rugby throughout Punjab, focusing on grassroots development and creating pathways for players of all ages and genders. Vision The vision is to build a strong rugby ecosystem in Punjab that provides quality training and competitive opportunities, supporting the PRU’s goal of making rugby a leading sport in Pakistan. Key Activities Key activities include introducing rugby in schools through the “Get Into Rugby” program, participating in national championships, organizing Punjab Games and other championships, and various age-group events. Training & Education The PRA provides training in coaching, refereeing, strength & conditioning, and medical aspects for both 7’s and 15’s rugby, available for both men and women. The Punjab Rugby Association plays a vital role in promoting and developing rugby in the Punjab province, including recent successes such as the Punjab Rugby Team winning the Azadi Cup Rugby Tournament 2025. The association actively works to expand the reach of the sport through various programs and initiatives.
